Why I Chose the Path of Entrepreneurship

My entrepreneurial journey started with a vision: to create opportunities for making my community a better place. This vision wasn’t just about business success; it was about making a tangible, positive impact. Additionally, entrepreneurship offered me something invaluable - the freedom and flexibility to balance my personal and professional life, a balance that I cherish deeply.

My Entrepreneurial Ventures:

A Brief Overview Starting with short term rentals: I stepped into the world of entrepreneurship by purchasing a quadplex. This venture was more than a business; it was a launching point for my journey out of a regular 9 - 5 job. While this venture did not give me the ability to quit my job, it provided me with many valuable lessons and gave me the confidence to explore other business opportunities.

A Consulting Company: My college degree was in political science. Most college graduates with this degree find that they need further education in order for this degree to become useful. Many political science majors go on to attend law school or will attend grad school and get a degree in public administration. Unlike many of my peers I did not want to stay in school and was ready to venture out into the real world. I started a political consulting company that ended up doing work for a Presidntial campaign.

An Insurance Agency: The most recent chapter in my entrepreneurial story is an insurance agency, a venture that introduced me to new challenges. Most people don’t grow up dreaming of becoming an Insurance agent. This has made it hard to find quality employees at times.

Embracing Technology and Automation

In each of these ventures, my constant allies have been technology and automation. From streamlining operations in my short term rental business to implementing automation and AI tools in my insurance agency, technology has been pivotal in scaling my businesses and achieving efficiency.

Beyond Business

When I’m not immersed in my businesses, you can find me spending time with my family, coaching youth football or watching hockey. These activities are not just hobbies; they are extensions of my commitment to community and personal growth.
